Who we are
Anna KietzerowGrowing up in the heart of an AVA-Lake Michigan Shore-lead Anna developed a curiosity for wine. It wasn’t until she moved to Germany that she truly fell in love with it. After moving back to Michigan, she began working at a local estate winery, learning everything she could. When she moved to Charlottesville, Virginia to pursue a PhD in Philosophy she fell into the Virginia wine scene. Since then, her passion for wine has only grown. Still a PhD Candidate, she is also a WSET Level 3 and a DipSET Candidate. She combines her passion for philosophy and wine by researching questions related to terroir and perception of tasting wine.
Adam's interest in wine began in college when his friends began a Wine Down Wednesdays during a summer internship and blossomed into full-blown obsession within a few years. These days, Adam's full-time job is in development for a global climate NGO, but he prioritizes discovering and tasting wines from around the world. Adam enjoys not only learning about the wines themselves, but exploring the historic and cultural surroundings that makes each wine unique. Don't get him started on the intersection of conflict and the champagne region...or do!
